Dans le cadre de la gestion durable des ressources en eau en Guinée, le Ministère de l’énergie de l’hydraulique et des Hydrocarbures sur appui financier de l’union internationale pour la conservation de la nature UICN à organisé ce mardi 14 décembre 2021, un atelier de présentation du rapport provisoire de l’état des lieux et de la gestion des ressources en eau GIRE en Guinée dans un grand hôtel de Conakry.
Une centaine de participants venus des départements ministériels comme l’agriculture, l’énergie, l’environnement mais également des collectivités décentralisées de plusieurs régions du pays étaient présents.
Dans les interventions, le Directeur National de l’hydraulique Mandjou CONDÉ à salué la présence massive des participants, avant de remercier le PREE partenariat régional de l’eau et de l’environnement à travers l’UICN pour tous les efforts consentis en faveur de la gestion durable des ressources en eau dans notre pays.
S’agissant de l’objectif de l’atelier, il dira que » cet atelier s’inscrit dans le cadre de la validation du rapport provisoire de l’état des lieux de la gestion des ressources en eau et du cadre de leur gestion » élaboré et présenté par les consultants.
Une pertinence, lorsqu’on connaît l’importance du liquide précieux qui n’est plus à démonter avec les nombreux cours d’eau du pays, mais qui sont aujourd’hui fragiles à cause des facteurs comme les effets du réchauffement climatique à t-il ajouté.
Il est ensuite revenu au Représentant de l’UICN en Guinée M. Richard Sagno de s’adresser à l’auditoire. Selon lui, » le tableau actuel des ressources en eau dans un contexte de changement climatique est inquiétant et nous interpelle tous. C’est pourquoi l’UICN s’engage à accompagner le Ministère en charge de l’hydraulique dans la mise en œuvre des recommandations qui seront issues de cet atelier ».
Il a enfin invité les participants à faire un examen minutieux du document et réitéré l’engagement et la disponibilité de son institution, à toujours accompagner la Guinée dans la gestion intégrée et durable des ressources en eau en Guinée.
Présidant la cérémonie d’ouverture, Mme le Chef de Cabinet du Ministère de l’énergie de l’hydraulique et des Hydrocarbures, en souhaitant la bienvenue et la forte particules acteurs concernés, mentionnera que » ce rapport constitue la première étape de la rédaction du PAGIRE, plan d’action de la GIRE en Guinée. C’est aussi une suite logique qui s’inscrit dans une perspective de préservation de notre biodiversité pour les générations présentes et futures. C’est pourquoi, je vous invite à faire des suggestions et formuler des recommandations pertinentes, en vue d’améliorer le document soumis à votre appréciation ».
Mme Nima BAH à enfin réitéré le soutien du Gouvernement a soutenir de telles initiatives, et remercié les partenaires internationaux à poursuivre l’élan de soutien et d’appui à la protection de l’environnement et de la gestion des ressources en eau du pays.
La journée s’est poursuivie par la présentation du rapport provisoire en question. Il a été présenté par les consultants et dans le dit document, il est ressorti le cadre institutionnel, juridique et des ressources humaines suivi d’amendements et de recommandations pour une meilleure gestion de la ressource vitale, qui reste encore difficile d’accès pour plusieurs ménages à travers le pays notamment dans la capitale guinéenne en ce qui concerne l’eau potable.
